Kristy is an Associate in Caiola & Rose’s litigation practice group.  Her practice focuses on commercial litigation involving lease disputes, franchising, trademark infringement, and other complex commercial litigation. In addition to drafting pleadings, briefs and discovery, she is also a skilled advocate in the courtroom. Kristy also represents franchisors in responding to investigations and enforcement actions brought by state agencies. Where possible, Kristy works with clients on work-outs and settlement agreements to help avoid litigation.

Kristy started her career at one of the largest and most prestigious international law firms headquartered in Atlanta where she practiced for ten years.  There, her practice focused on representing clients from the automotive, construction, consumer products, and healthcare industries in litigation, investigations, and regulatory matters.  She successfully defended clients in mass tort litigation, class action suits, product liability litigation, contract disputes, and whistleblower suits.  Kristy also defended clients in fraud investigations, including responding to the Civil Investigative Demands from the federal agencies, conducting internal audits, and presenting resolution proposals to the federal enforcement agencies.  On the counseling side, Kristy advised clients on regulatory and compliance matters, including implementation and assessment of corporate compliance programs.

Kristy has been living in Georgia for over 20 years and is a Double Dawg from the University of Georgia.  In her free time, she loves to spend time at home cooking, gardening, reading, and practicing yoga.  She is also an avid traveler and loves to daydream about her next trip.
